Our Story

Hi, I’m Tony. Thanks for stopping by.

I’ve been working with wood in one form or another for over 50 years. It all started after my family moved from Chevy Chase, Maryland to a farm in Berryville, Virginia. Not long after we settled in, a blight took out one of the Dutch Elm trees on our property. Rather than let it go to waste, my friends and I cut and hauled the firewood back to the city to sell to homeowners. That small operation sparked a lifelong connection to working with wood.

After high school, I served in the Navy, went to Virginia Tech, and eventually found my way back to the trades. I spent many years building fences and timber-frame barns with a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and durability.

In 2022, with my daughters living in Richmond and my first grandchild on the way, I made the move to Ashland, Virginia. Starting fresh, I came full circle and returned to firewood, supplying quality hardwood to local homeowners and restaurants throughout the area.

While the focus of my work has changed, my standards have not. I still take pride in offering something reliable, well prepared, and done right. If you ever need firewood or want to talk about what kind of wood works best for your setup, I’d be glad to help.

I look forward to hearing from you,

-Tony
